We have a new consultant role open, for someone who has experience implementing Oracle/Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion Planning solutions. This position can be based in either the San Francisco area or the Los Angeles/Orange County area.

Position Summary We are looking for someone with the right mix of abilities and professionalism to join our accomplished consulting team. In this high-profile position you will work closely with our clients’ senior management, business users and IT staff to design and implement mission-critical Business Intelligence solutions. This is an outstanding career opportunity for the business and technology savvy leader who desires a high level of customer interaction, responsibility and professional challenge. Your mission will be to work with our clients to develop and deliver Oracle Hyperion EPM solutions that solve their business information needs. Utilizing your superior communication skills and ability to ferret-out business objectives, you will craft functional requirements and specifications. Leveraging your software expertise, data analysis skills and business modeling experience, you will incorporate those requirements into highly effective solutions. You will also train users on the solutions delivered. The work won’t always be local, and you must be available for short-term overnight travel.

Required Background and Skills Analysis Team is looking for someone with a proven track record designing and implementing solutions in Oracle/Hyperion Essbase (version 7.x and higher) and Hyperion Planning. Your Essbase skills should include most of the following: Calculation script development Design of reasonably complex write-back applications (such as for forecasting and budgeting) Partitioning Aggregate Storage Option (ASO) Performance tuning Automation of application updates with batch scripts and MaxL Essbase Integration Server (EIS) Web Analysis (Hyperion Analyzer) Hyperion Financial Reporting (Hyperion Reports) Experience with other Hyperion EPM tools and applications would be of value. In addition, we are looking for excellent Microsoft Excel skills and, even better, strong expertise in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) with the Essbase Spreadsheet Toolkit. Some expertise in relational database design and in crafting SQL queries is preferred.
